Better Product at Cheaper Price.....

Kindle e-Reader at $79. Kindle e-Reader with multi touch at $99. Can't believe when I see it with my own eyes on Amazon Home Page.
"Damn it.... Amazon"
the first thing I shout at my innocent laptop's screen after I read it and, then follow by series of curse word. Coz' I bought Kindle Dx at $379, 6 mth ago. It was a good product and I am still using it. However, these newer reader are simply seen better and cheaper. Please Amazon. Offer some trade-in program whoever want to use new Kindle e-reader or who prefer Kindle e-Reader with touch screen.

What!!!!!!! ........ and WOW !!!!!

"Kindle Fire?" .... "Full Color 7" Multi-touch Display, Wi-Fi" ....  at $199. "How do you do that?" it's cheaper than Apple Ipod touch and Samsung galaxy tab. It has simply more feature than both.
"Kindle Fire with dual-core processor" .... you got to be kidding me.
It is very tempting tablet I ever seen. It is Anroid Tablet using Amazon silk browser with cloud storage. Moreover, there is a lot of other useful feature. It's seem good. Kindle Fire... it's hot.. smoking hot....
However, Kindle Fire is small (may be for user who prefer ultra portable tablet) and storage capacity is less even though it support cloud storage (I think I might want to store more in my tablet).

I am not a IT geek. Hence, I can't make technical review or preview on these products. However, all I want to say is... Tempting ... very tempting gadgets.

Microsoft buys Skype for $8.5 Billion

$8.5 Billion in-cash! It looks like crazy deal for me. However, it is Microsoft, the huge software company in the world, has no problem for such amount. This would be their largest acquisition after $6 Billion spending for online advertising firm aQuantive in 2007. From this deal e-bay got $2.55 Billion for its 30% stake and two co-founders got 1.9 Billion too.

What is the meaning of this deal? It doesn’t mean Microsoft is rich nor e-bay made money through their investment. It means Microsoft trying to enter mobile communication business aggressively. Moreover, this deal will help Microsoft in competing Google and Cisco in networking.

As the world has inevitably changed to mobile-web communication, this deal can be right move for Microsoft, my personal feeling, to compete Google and Apple (facetime) Voice communication services. Skype will soon be added feature in X-box, Window Phone 7 and may be, in Facebook since Microsoft is one of the Facebook’s investor.

This deal is huge. However, Skype can help both Microsoft (as a lot of observer believe that Microsoft leg behind in internet market) and Facebook. We will see more intense battle in mobile and web market for sure.

Sony Enter ‘Tablet Battlefield’

 

 

Everyone can see that there is a lot of room to improve in table technology. Already entered tablets are nowhere near to perfect and most of them didn’t even have point of differentiation from each other but I admit that some of them are very impressive especially iPad 2 and Motorola Xoom. 

 

Now, Sony prepares to enter the market with two powerful tablets namely “Sony S1” and “Sony S2” as Sony announced on 26 Apr 2011. Sony will use Android 3.0 Honeycomb operation system which is similar to Motorola Xoom; however, Sony has something to differentiate from other tablet that is it compatibility to Playstation games. Moreover, it also has unique appearance especially in ‘Sony S2”

Still, prices are not announced yet. So it is Sony that the price will be high end. Now they put a lot of hype around the product by mean of marketing and PR. If they set the reasonable prices when they launch, I would say don’t miss the chance to grab a stylish tablet.

Tablet Daydream

There are several TABLETs in market. Though I will not buy any of those, it make me confuse to choose or recommend the right one when my friends ask me to assist in their decision making. For me as well as my friend, it is like a big investment. Switching cost will be high once they buy the unsatisfactory one.

Most of the Touch Pad attracts attention from customer and prompt customer’s action to buy the product but they cannot fully satisfy the customer. Unsatisfactory result is not derived from after sales service. It is mainly triggered by product itself.

I saw a lot of people annoying after they bought iPad 1st generation. Most iPad owner switched to Galaxy Tab, however; it is also not a perfect one. Moreover, there are several touch pad come in different brand. Some attract customer with cheaper price or bigger sized screen or faster performance or attractive promotion but none of them can create higher customer satisfaction.

Several people are hoping forward to having better touch pad as well as several company are looking forward to capture market with higher customer satisfaction with better state-of-art product. There are some products going to launch soon create hype around them by using press and internet. Many Touch Pad will be launched soon and among them iPad 2, Motorola Xoom and Hp slate catch my attention. Therefore, I will make ultra-short overview on those products. Before stating my overview I would like to admit that I am not a technical geek or product engineer. I am only technological enthusiast.

According to specification, it is more like to laptop rather than internet tablet. It could be the fastest touch pad coz’ of processor but it is thicker than other tablet. It uses Windows 7 operation system so that it is convenient for bunch of Window users. (This is not relating to overview: I strongly feel that Hp should use better marketing force like Apple's that they create attention, buzz as well as prompt customer action to buy one even though their product may or may not as good as they announced)

Therefore, if you want to change your heavy laptop with lighter one, HP might be a practical one.

Motorola Xoom

Motorola is widely known for its stylish design. But now they enter into tablet market with their first ever touch pad known as Motorola Xoom.

It can be regard as fabulous android tablet according to eye-catching specifications. It can be say as the world’s first Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet that come with 1 GHz nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM and built in 32 GB storage. Moreover, it support micro SD card for storage expansion.

Another eye-catching point is 10.1 inch display with resolution of 1280x800 with 5 mega-pixel dual-LED back camera and 2 mega-pixel front camera.

Price is also reasonable. According to specification and price, I personally think Motorola Xoom as good product. However, quality of product cannot be judge by reading its specification. 

Specification is good. Price is reasonable. Therefore I would say go for it. However, try it before you buy.

iPad 2 Overview

According to the spec, there is no doubt that iPad 2 is relatively better than iPad1. It is faster, thinner, lighter and more convenient version of iPad 1. It uses latest Mac OS. iPad 2 has 0.7MP back camera and front VGA camera. I wonder why Apple didn’t integrate better mega-pixel camera. It said it support better internet browsing.  However, better processor with faster graphic, it would be a lot better for gaming than iPad1.

According to the spec, there are no eye catching specification. If someone asked me whether they should change from iPad 1 to iPad 2, I would answer by asking a question "for 0.7Mpx camera?" because I can't see any tremendous change in iPad 2. Adding switching cost in consideration, you can simply see there is nothing worth to change. 

However, Apple has unique touch ability and brilliant colorful screen that no other product can compete. Apple also have another edge i.e. strong Brand. People think they are sophisticated, trendy, fashionable and stylish when they hold apple product. Moreover, most of the people strongly believe that Apple products have best touch sensitivity. That is why Apple become the top brand when people think about product with touch ability. 

I would say Apple iPad 2 is better product than iPad 1 but still have a lot of room to change to become market leader.

Touch PAD Fever © a.k.a Tablet Fever ©

"Someone got Touch PAD fever? "

Yes, that's right. A lot of people nowadays suffered from Touch PAD Fever. 

Signs and Symptoms are:

• craving for touch pad
• Feel itchiness relief by touching touch screen
• willingness to touch every screen (regardless of whether it is touch support or not)

In some advance and severe cases, there may be drooling while holding or viewing Touch PAD. 

All the signs and symptoms may be worsen if you show them picture or actual touch pad.

According to the reports, this highly infectious fever was started by Steve Jobs who introduced Ipad Virus Version 1.0 last year. Firstly innovator are infected by this fever. Then it spread to early adopters.

The infectiousness of the fever was  not severe at that time even though there was another strains of virus known as Galaxy tab. Some of the Innovators and Early Adopters cured after they bought Apple IPAD (Over-sized Ipod Touch) or Galaxy Tab(Over-sized smart phone). For a while, the fever was subtle. 

However, these day there are new evidents that reveal situation that can trigger new cases of fever. Now there are second generation of virus called IPAD 2 that is more potent and severe new generation of virus that can empty your wallet at turbo speed. Moreover, there may be new virus which carry same morphology to cause same fever but different name such as Creative Ziio, View Sonic G-Tablet, Anchos Internet tablet, Motorola xoom and Hp Slate. 

They are powerful forces that can weaken the mental resistant of 'Early Majority' and 'Late Majority' and even of 'laggards' to Touch PAD Fever. 

From the positive point of view, the Disease can be cure easily if you have enough money. It is strange that disease itself is the cure. However, your disease may be cured but the satisfaction level may be low as the drug for cure are new to the market and some of them are not sufficient enough to give high satisfaction level because most of the company emphasize more to invade market at fast movement rather than satisfied customer needs with better ingredient (specification). 

By next week, we prepare to release news about another fever known as 'DSLR Fever ©' that currently attack ordinary people which was previous known only in professional photography area.

6.8 earthquake hits NE Myanmar

It happened on 24 march 2011. The 6.8 Magnitude earthquake knocked-down some of the towns in NE Myanmar border and killed several people. It said more than 70 people but the exact number will be hard to know coz' there is tight control of disasters news by the Government.

According to the weather channels, the epicenter was said to be in North of the Town 'Tachileik'. Buildings were swayed in most of the towns and villages. There were severe damages and collapses according to the information from locals. The earthquake was so powerful that it reached other Myanmar Cities (including Yangon and Naypyidaw), Bangkok, Vietnam and southern China.

There are series of small earthquakes still hit the area today. People are fearful and helpless. Lots of building collapsed and several people are now homeless. Most of the people have to sleep on the road. There are no food and water in seriously damaged area. 

There were several damages but Thai government claimed that were minor injury, suffered on Thai side of the border.

People in the disaster area felt aftershocks and still waiting for helps.

Pickle tea leaf salad (Behind the scene) Featuring Lively Nimbus

Today we are making Pickled Tea Leaf Salad { translated directly from Burmese Language (pronunciation : လက္ဖက္ - lahpet)}. It is a very popular traditional food of Burma (Myanmar). In Myanmar, people eat it (mostly) in group with or without rice. They like to talk and eat usually with green tea. It is a nice tradition.

Main ingredient:

• Pickled Tea Leaf Salad (Specially make from tea leaf - taste is sour or bitter or sweet or spicy or combination of taste)
• Mixture of Fried variety of Bean, sesame seed and peanut 
• oil (just small amount)

Optional Ingredient:

• Tomato
• Cabbage
• Green or Red Chilli
• Lime
• salt
• Garlic 

*Ingredient may be differ from region to region even in Burma

Making of this salad is as easy as such. Mixing of all the ingredients I listed above in suitable proportion. That's all. If you feel taste will be simple, you are wrong. Taste is difficult to express - it has deep and complex taste that is very difficult to describe. Moreover, the result will be different from one salad to another because it is mainly depend on the decision and taste preference of the maker (here I will call him "Chef: the Salad Maker"). Some "Amateur: the Salad Maker" may taste during making and then add some ingredient and then taste and amend again and again till the salad reaches the taste he/she like.

Lovely part of this salad is "preparing or making". I will call it "Art". If "Chef: the Salad Maker" have more emotionally attached to salad, the taste will be better. Professional "Chef: the Salad Makers" will not need amend again and again. Normally, they have their own secret proportion and ingredients. Most of the Burmese accept different taste of Pickled Tea Leaf Salad.

I think Burmese people have inborn love to this Pickle tea leaf salad. In Burma(Myanmar), it is really hard to find Burmese who doesn't like or eat this salad. I personally accept that Salad as National Salad.(Not related to article: Sometime I may use my assumption and hyperbole) I didn't say it as National Food coz' Mon-Hin-Ga (မုန္႔ဟင္းခါး) (Directly Translated: Fish Paste Soup Noodle - I will write about that strange, exotic and delicious food when appropriate) will be the one. 

Here on, I will show you how we make Pickle Tea Leaf Salad for our dinner.I will skip the preparing part for mixing. I will show how to mix.

After main and some optional ingredients that I listed above mixed, our "Semi-Professional Chef: The Salad Maker" put all the Ingredients in box and shake. (Traditionally - mixing and making to final outcome is done only by hand.  Here, we try different innovative way :D .)

• Not mixed well
• Use more utility (box)

If you think the appearance is not appreciable, the taste is inversely proportion to its appearance cuz' we didn't beautified it as we are not "Professional Chef: the Salad Maker". It is all natural. 

Warning:If you are virgin to "Pickle Tea Leaf Salad", I would suggest you to taste it little by little. First bite may be weird and bitter. I would suggest again "Don't give up". Try whenever you have an opportunity. Trying little by little will make you totally fall in love with this weirdly exotic delicious salad. Then, I have to warm you again. It can sometime cause gastric discomfort. You don't have to worry. You will only become little bit gassy. So this last warning is more concern to the person around you. so beware!.

I am NINJA

I became a NINJA for quite a long time.

I feel embarrassed for being a ninja. I have No Income No Job and no Asset for a while. However, I never feel down or depress that I regard as a priceless gift from god. I still keep fighting. Keep Fighting to get a Job. A decent Job where I can utilize my academic background and hand on skill.

All I need is a Chance. Only one chance to prove what I am capable of.

I might say "yes" coz' it is true. I am here to legally take a job (not steal) as I believe that I have knowledges and qualifications that are not lower than any average locals (may be not less than highly educated local). I also admit that I have my weakness, as every human has at least one. Mine is lack of international work experience. That's all what I can think recently.

I have tons of free time here. I am trying to improve myself daily. I learn and learn but no where to practice.

Therefore, All I NEED IS A CHANCE WHERE I CAN UTILIZE MY KNOWLEDGES AND SKILLS.

It was taken on Jun 14, 2009, 5:26:05 PM (Information from photo; but I can't remember the date exactly) with my Nikon D40X, my old but still my favorite DSLR camera coz' I can't effort to buy new one, at Dolphin Lagoon, Sentosa, Singapore. It was an evening. I continuously shoot the movement of dolphin with highest shutter speed from my camera. I took hundreds of photos but this one is my only satisfactory.
